  • You're too young to remember those days

  • I'm omnipresent.

  • Aye, but were you always?

  • Hello all. I'm a newbie looking to start fixed gear conversion on my old (early 90s I reckon) Peugeot 531 Pro. Generally looking for tips for a easier project.

  • Welcome Nigel67.

This is the friendliest forum on the internet. If you dont like it, you can fuckoff (just a joke :-), play on the humour of this being the friendliest. Which we are...)

  • Hello everyone, new to the site, lived in London in '87, been riding fixed since well before that! I feel old with that statement. Now in Toronto, Canada. Say hello to London for me.

  • Hi London!!!

  • I said hello but it told me to fuck off and stabbed me in the neck.

  • hello,

been lurking for a while. you seem like decent sorts.

    Ha!.. Nice alias. Seu Malandro.

  • Hey all. Have been browsing for a while and finally decided to join. I am from Cambridge and have been riding fixed for about a year now. Currently riding a 70's/80's Triumph conversion. Isn't the prettiest bike on here by a long shot but it's my bike and I love it. Hopefully see some of you in person at rides and stuff soon :)

    What color is your bike?

  • I said hello but it told me to fuck off and stabbed me in the neck.

Go and ask West London then, innit?

  • What color is your bike?

Light blue with blue and green triumph decals, white rear wheel, white cranks, white chain, white tyres, yellow velocity deep V on the front (not my colour choice, friend was selling it for £60 and i needed a front wheel)

  • Hello, just a quick hello. My main rides are old school BMX but looking at building me a fixie like the ones I keep admiring thrashing around town. London based and pleased to meet you all.

  • Welcome LeeMadz!

Enjoy your build, have fun here.

  • Hey.
Just checking in here. Seems like the place to be!

  • Glad to be in London. Cleaner than New York AND no guns!

  • greetings folks, traveller just arrived in London town last night from Melbourne AU.

spent the day getting lost around the streets of london, chatting to strangers on bikes/not on bikes, chasing couriers, and generally just behaving like a big kid in a new city.

where's a the action happening? I'm keen for beers, rides, meeting peoples, whatever..

thought i'd mention this fella^ did the forum marathon ride on saturday when he'd been in london's famous london for just 3 days. that is how it's done. i went to Wests beers on my second day in town.

the forum is a good one, but it is the internet presence of a real world community. if you live in Ldn, or Mcr, Brum, etc etc get involved.

*obv if you're abroad or somewhere remote then welcome and enjoy the website, it's a good one (contrary to what the t-shirts say).

  • Glad to be in London. Cleaner than New York AND no guns!

  • Hi,
Just getting into fixed gear after riding singletrack mtb for a couple of years.
Wanted something simple and cheap to ride around town.
I'm down in the sticks that is Bromley, but interested in getting together with people in town.
Currently building my bike (i.e. trying to score some free piece of crap to convert)
Any others from round the Bromley / Orpington way?
