Always happy to stop and talk bikes...im based just outside Nuneaton so tend to head northish into leicestershire..market bosworth etc. Ill let you know about Burton trip.

I live between Nuneaton & Cov.
Been to Hinckley no end of times on fixed.
Have done Leicester fixed, would Burton be doable fixed? -

If youve done Leicester then Burton would be quite easy distance wise..one down side... any way into Burton from this side is a biggish downhill. I'll go in on the A50 across the old bridge. Its a big down hill with lights at the bottom. Not done it fixed. If youre brakeless have your soles lined with grey compound Kool stop :) but im only a newbie!!!

Manchester, Derby still doable, but not fixed. BoT and Cov a bit too far really.

Once you get over the A5 its pretty fantastic cycling country...lots of green and rolling hills -

Not really mostly ride the on one but Ive just ordered a new saddle for the globe and Im trying to find a new rear hub so I can fix it if Im feeling brave =-O
