  • So is there anyone here that uses any of these new barefoot running trainers?

My asics are long overdue replacement and I'm not sure what to go for next. Saw a couple of people wearing the vibram shoes when running my last half marathon, and I've read good things about them.

Only thing that currently puts me off, is spending £100 on not much, when you can get some trainers with lots of support for the same price?

Basically you need to change your gait to one with a midfoot strike. Which is claimed to be a more natural way to run. Personally I cant see how running on tarmac is anything other than unnatural by default. As well as the five fingers (which I really like for walking). There a quite a few other options....

Personnally I just go back from a 10km virgin voyage in my Kayano 17's, and they were fantastic. The fit is great, basically forgot all about them. You cant ask for more than that
