I don't like Brooks saddles. The price of them alone is enough of a turn off. I know a few riders who put them on thier bikes and come to find out, they paid more for the seat than the bike. They have some models that fetch more than 300 bucks. I don't think my whole bike is worth 300 bucks.

(...)My experience with cars is that a firm seat will allow you to sit longer, more comfortably and maintain proper position with less physical effort. A squishy seat will seem more comfy but will cause you to shift your body and to use more effort to maintain the same driving position. Having driven a 1988 Subaru hatchback with worn out seats and then switching to a 2004 Subaru WRX with Sparco racing seats, I can attest that the racing seats lended themselves to be more comfortable, a lot more firm but more comfy over the duration of my driving exploits. It sounds counter intuitive but I have found it to be the case.
