what size seatpost is that?
Shorter stem and rotate bars down, when re gripping slide brake levers down a touch aswell. Or swap out bars for something like a Nitto noodle. That bike is bloody nice, off of ebay wasn't it? If it was my size I'd have had it off you!

It looks nice but are you sure it fits?
If you need the saddle lowered and can't reach the brakes whilst on the drops, it might be a tiny bit too big for you.

GT's are rubbish.
Seriously though, it'd be a shame to put risers on it. In the pic the brake hoods look pretty much as high as you'd want them. You could get an inline post to fractionally shorten the reach if you think that'd help as the stem looks pretty short already. How tall are you and what's the frame size?
p.s. noice boik

I'm 5 "7",and the bikes a 54cm supposedly,will have to measure it though.
I had a Kinesis racelight rc 50cm and i still couldn't grab the levers great, maybe i need to stretch my fingers lol.
Will try an inline post me thinks.I know the red Hutchinsons tyres don't look great(brand new from previous owner)will get some nice conti's for it after i sort the post etc out.I like the bike though as its a bit different and not commonly seen. -

You could even try more compact bars like those found on some cyclocross bikes?

...and pedals...
Bought this recently,a 1994 GT Edge, full ultegra,Mavic cxp14's.Needs a bit of work but not bad for a newbie first road bike project although i might straight bar it(any suggestions on bars and stem combos i can get hold of?).Also need a new seatpost as its got an aero one on and it needs to be an inch shorter than its lowest height.
Also need a suggestion on drops if i decide to keep some on as i'm having trouble reaching the brake levers on the drops, can this be alleviated by moving the lever position?
Oh yeah and needs new bartape on and i need to know how to put it on properly without making a pigs ear of it,cheers Gary
