I bought a pair of Vans Warner SPDs as I'd read Vans had redesigned them last year. They're very stiff and comfortable as cycling shoes, and once they start to bed-in (and you remove the stupid velcro strap), they don't look as Variety Club as they do when they're new. I wouldn't say they're any more comfortable for walking in than any other SPD shoe.
