So i had a pretty bad crash a few weeks ago going from a pothole into the back of a parked car. I buckled both of my wheels beyond repair and got a bit of a baby's-fist size hole in my thigh. Mr insurance company has offered me an Apollo Vortice or equivalent price (£180) as a replacement complete bike.
Basically, i'm wondering if insurance companies are open to using eBay, or gumtree to buy a replacement bike, or if they're open to frames and wheels, etc.
Has anyone had any similar experience doing something like this?
Just wondering before I look like a fool and send a few ebay links and ask them to bid on them.
Possibly silly question:
