Brooks saddles are archaic, over-priced rubbish. Killed my arse.
Buy a Fizik instead, your bike will weight much less, look better and your arse won't hurt. -

My bike is quite classic looking, Hence wanting a classic saddle Fizik, Nien Danke...

Coolio, I'll bring it along to the next beers/pub I'm at. Not for sale (I like it too much !), but more than welcome to try it out on your bike.
Well, it seems insane how cheap they were about three years ago, TBH. Brooks are a long term investor in their workforce, a skilled and well treated staff, in a place that's seen a lot of industry diasppear, Birmingham. I think their prices are pretty reasonable, when compared to Fizik or Selle Italia or what have you.
I think their price rises are fair enough, no idea how they kept going when the they were just selling the occasional B17 at 35 quid to cycle tourists pre vintage bike boom.

Am I the only guy whose Brooks got less comfy the more it wore in? As my butt wore down the sides the centre got more pronounced digging into my flumpy bit.... loved the look of it, too bad really. Weighed a f%%king tonne mind you...

Did you tighten it regularly though? Sounds like you didn't....

^^ Yep. I'm fairly OCD when it comes to these things.

That happened to one of mine (B17 narrow). My cheeks obviously made big divots, but that created a ridge in the middle. Tensioning it makes it tight front to back when what it needed was tightening side to side.
Maybe my ass is wrong.

gluteus to the maximus
I'm only 10 and a half stone, so it can't be down to my weight. I'd love a TI version, but not for £200.
