Having a pretty big clear out of all the bits and bobs I am unlikely to use in the immediate future and could find happy homes somewhere else:

Tioga bar ends:
Stubby bar ends, pretty badly scuffed and scratched. £5 posted.

Shimano 600 bb spindle:
Spindle length 115mm, lug width 70mm. Would suit an Italian bb £8 posted

16 tooth sprocket:
Never used, came out of a kit to convert a bike to ss. Would fit a shimano free hub body. £donation to the forum + postage cost

EAI 17t sprocket:
17t 3/32 width. good condition, finish starting just starting to show some wear. £10 posted

Mavic CXP21 rim:
Some wear to the braking surfaces but loads of use left. Wheel it was built up in was true and appears true, but always slightly hard to tell with unbuilt rims 32h. £FREE
prefer this to be picked up.

SRAM gripshift:
8 speed, good condition £3 posted

Shimano LX front mech:
Top pull, 31.8mm diameter clamp. some marks from use £5 posted

Shimano STI lever: Available again
7 speed, works fine but missing the bottom cover. Free

Shimano HG50 cassette:
11-30t, 8 speed. reasonable condition £5 posted.

Giro Switchblade helmet:
Never crashed, some marks from storage S/M (56-60cm). two of the clips inside are starting to corrode (still work fine) (see photos). £25

Will likely be more stuff along in the next few days once it is sorted out. Will have a Shimano WH-R550 wheelset, once I have serviced the hubs over the weekend.

I'm based in Cambridge, pick up is welcome and I am happy to post. All prices ONO.

Alloy bars 34cm outside - outside. 255g weight. Good condition, small marks around clamping area from use and a scuff on each side at the bottom of the drops. £10

can i presume that it's a typing error and the bars are 44cm outside to outside?

I can't seem to find the size sticker inside the helmet anywhere... My other helmet is a 54-60cm (M). I would be pretty confident the giro is a S/M (56-60cm) but guessing from your username if you are Cambridge based, come round and try it on - PM me for my address if you want to.

Is the Shimano freewheel quiet when pedalling? The cheap-ass Dicta one I currently have makes an irritating 'knocking' noise sometimes.

I cant comment on what it is actually like on the bike as I haven't used it. It does have a (quiet) tick when free-wheeling similar to a set of shimano free hubs. No where near as loud as fulcrum / dt swiss free hubs.
