  • what a lovely sentiment

What's wrong with that sentiment? They no longer make anything I wish to purchase, so I'm not going to purchase anything from them.

There was nothing wrong with the plain black T3 jerseys, and I was going to spend a not insignificant portion of my next pay packet on a few more of them until they decided to put that white stripe on them, for whatever reason. If anyone from Torm is reading this, fuck that stripe off and bring back the old T3. Rapha cannot sue you for selling a plain black jersey!

  • But you don't know the full story... They probably didn't do it for shits n giggles.

  • the new stripe across the hips is going to be very unflattering for the MAMILs

I actually like it. Adds a bit of visiability, at exactly the best spot. For those early morning/ late evening rides.

Any self disrespecting MAMIL should be wearing gairish gear anyway.

I don't care, the fact is I dont like the stripe so I aint buying one. knowing the full story isn't gonna make me buy one is it?

That said, there isnt another jersey in the world that I actually want, so I might just buy one and live with it

  • Did anybody buy a white jersey off them? Was it actually white or more of an off-white, as in, kind of creamy colour?

I have a white one, from the photos on the web it does look cream in colour - But mine is in fact white. Very impressed with it tbh, plus it has no white stripe across the back. perfect.

That's a pretty quick turnaround there...

    Yes it does

  • The red one looks perfect as a substitute Arsenal retro shirt one days when you have cycled to the game, but forgotten your kit. That is some serious extra value.

  • I've had similar complaints.

    Hehehe. Yeah me too.

    Giggidy

  • Yes it does

    Very sharp.

    (OK, so I LOL'd)

  • Well Michael @ Torm is a great guy. I ordered a jersey + arm warmers yesterday and asked if they could hand deliver them today. Unfortuantely there was no one available, however they did send it 1st class and it arrived promptly.

Now the bit that really made my day, I ordered the white T2 jersey, and had a long thought on Black and White strip arm warmers, or White and Black strip. I went with Black in the end. Today, upon opening the packet I find a hand written note from Michael explaining he understands how hard it is to choose, so he'd sent me both at no extra cost. Now that's a way to make a customer exceedingly happy :)

  • That is win.. I know when I ordered my top Ed delivered it to me and also brought a Med just in case the small didn't fit.. Not that he gave me it for free I just thought that was a nice bit of service.

  • More great service here. Ordered the wrong size T5, returned it to find out they didn't have size I wanted. As the sun was shining I went for a nice T1 instead and Michael also sent me some free arm warmers. Good products and nice guys, I'll be going back.

  • Hah I discovered that the T2 jersey in L is tighter fitting than the T5 jersey... rather than change it, I'm going to use it as motivation to actually lose the beer gut!

  • Just got a T1. Admittedly haven't worn it on the bike yet, but first impressions on quality are great and it fits really nicely. Really pleased so far so I hope it lasts as well as it looks!

  • A few detailed photos for the curious: http://g3.y3m.net/techy/t0rm-t3-v1

T3 in red, original design - looks like they're clearing out the old stock post haste. I've tried to get the colour balance right but the red channel is difficult. It's more like a deep Christmas red. Fabric seems nice and substantial. Good zippers. Some kind of waterproofing on the zipper pockets - not big enough for a modern GPS smartphone though unfortunately.

The size calculator had me on the border of M/L with the relaxed fit option and I went medium. Seems about right. Little bit snug on the arms but there's decent length so pretty sure it'll be fine.

Hopefully not too hot for summer. Planning a London-Hastings-London this weekend so we'll see how it goes on that (forecast currently for 25°C).

Edit: Yep, nice. It was OK at 25C. If I had a lighter jersey just as fine I'd wear that at these temperatures, but my only other jersey is significantly crappier and irritating so the torm is still preferable.

  • Wore my T1 out last Sat, was warm enough at 6º and nice and cool as it got up to around 16º. Great stuff.

  • Mmm... a Torm jersey could make a lovely Fathers Day gift for me. Fancy a dash of red, but not sure about short or long sleeves.

  • A t1 has just arrived in the post. on the border of L and XL so, vain as I am went L. little too sung so have sent it back for the XL. Otherwise I gave it a once over and it is lovely. looks to be excellent quality. If the XL is a good fit I will be purchasing more from them.

  • The L/XL issue is interesting. Have L T5 jersey, just fine, but need XL T1 jersey. Must be a slightly different cut

  • how are you peoples finding the torm jerseys in the sunshine, too hot?

  • As above it's fine into the early 20s. Late 20s I'd rather have a lighter jersey if poss. Last sunday was my first time I left the wool at home. Good all-rounder. FWIW I tend to overheat quite easily.

  • Any word on when they are going to restock?

  • Er, now. They are stocked up, with some new colourways, too.
