  • Dutch, I was kinda surprised to see Teun Mulder riding a LOOK bike for his 1k tt,
he is in the national squid right? But is that because it's an individual number?

Mulder was in the Cofidis trade team, but that team stopped recently.
Perhaps he doesn't want to swap bikes from LOOK to KOGA so close before the Worlds.
Don't know if he's in the nat. squad. It doesn't mean that much in NL. Just the jersey, no salary. He'll get his own support from NOC/NSF. I think he's still looking for a private sponsor. A free KOGA bike will not be enough for him I guess.
But for a team discipline, he MUST use a KOGA.

At Amsterdam they had a lot of the Alu bikes there but also the 15 carbon bikes away in the corner all locked up. You couldn't get near the bikes as they'd laid out barriers around them. They had the ISP and the slightly more aero HT but no BB30 (don't think it was out yet)

They started renting ALU Giant track bikes in Amsterdam.
Perhaps they got some carbon frames later.
There used to be a good relationship between the ex Giant Europe president and Klaas Balk, the person in charge of the rentals.
Giant made some carbon track frames for some of the team riders (Stam, Slippens, Bos, Schep maybe, German riders, etc.). I can imagine that Taiwan produced some extra pcs and that Giant Europe "donated" some to the A'dam track. Every now and then they also show up in auctions on Marktplaats and Ebay. They were never commercially available.

    Sell it to me.

Trade against a very nice steel track frame of 49 or 50 cm C-T
