• Hi folks

This month i've decided to take off 3 weeks and go on a bit of a mission around Europe visiting various polo locations, getting some games in with well established groups and hopfully meeting some 'up and coming' communities that have popped up on the Leagueofbikepolo.com radar. I plan to do this via an Interrail ticket for three weeks costing 460€, my rough route will be:

    Barcelona > Toulouse/Montpelier/Marsielle > Turin > Rome > Budapest > Poland (Warsaw and Krakow)> Germany > Belgium > Geneva > Brighton for the tournament on 7th May.

It's a lot to cover in just 3 weeks and i'll admit to not organising any of it but I figured I've got the first week covered at least and can make up the rest as I go along. My main reason for making a thread about this is to find out peoples experiences with interrailing with a bike? Of course it's down to each countries operator whether they accept bikes but I would like to hear of any experiences good or bad. I plan to take some sort of basic bag so that the Pompetamine cab be carried on as large hand luggage in the event of complication or prohibitive cost in taking a bike.

Also any contacts that might come in useful, places to stay etc.

    Rich (bristol)
