Viva bikes for first time buyer?

  • hi guys been looking into buying an "off the peg" bike for this summer and have seen a few i really like however im on a budget.

    i think im going to go for the bike below but im wondering if anyone had any experience or views on this bike? it would be greatly appreciated :)

  • I have one, albeit only frameset and bb have remained original. It's fine, if a little heavy, stock wheels awful however, v v flexy, crap stock tyres too. Expensive for what it is

  • i was thinking this or a fuji feather, only swaying towards this as it was 600 reduced to 450 and the fuji is 450

  • I got my brother a feather for his 12th birthday, excellent bike from the box, also lighter than the viva, and the paint won't chip as easily

  • Let just says that there's better alternated*.

    Viva are idea for those who's not that into cycling.

    *Fuji, Charge, Kona, Specialized, Trek (belt drive), Ridgeback, Genesis, Gary Fisher, Dawes, and Cooper is a good alternated.

  • ended up with a fuji in the end, thank god.
