If spindrift's info is correct this person has no special qualifications in traffic, driving or crash investigation - he is a motor mechanic. The prosecutors should have challenged him and ripped him to shreds, but as often happens they lack any specialist knowledge and unless they have already lined up a counter expert they let this sort of crap happen.
