Wound Up
Tifosi
Look hsc and hsc2
Colnago
Easton
Reynolds ouzo
Columbus (not sure the names)Depending on the size of your frame, and thus steerer length will make a big difference. I found most steerers were too short, I eventually got one off Sumo. ebay constant searching is best and they come up on here every now and then.
Carbon steerers can apparently feel a little bendy under weight/pressure, I dunno but perhaps if you're big/sprinting an alloy tubed fork may be better, but that is most likely utter tosh! -

Just use an inverse shim

Cheers,
Have been scanning ebay, but it's hard to find a search term that filters out all the 1 1/8 forks (have just been having the same problem searching for headsets - using " in a search isn't much use here.
Need quite a long steerer unfortunately.
Anyone any experience of CSN?

(mainly on the basis of them being cheap). -

Weirdly the cheaper 1" fork Kinetic do appears to be exactly the same as the one for sale at Ribble - or at least the photo is identical.

I have a couple of these ones, off older models Giant TCR and OCR.
They come in alloy steerer and carbon steerer and they can be found pretty cheap. In the past I've sanded the graphics off one of these forks and after a new clear coat it looked the biz: http://media.thehubsa.co.za/uploads2/20091109_235226_Giant1.JPG (not my bike or picture, just to give you an idea)
EDIT: Ha the site I got the first picture off is about a batch of those forks is being recalled. Apparently forks manufactured from September 2000 through April 2001 are affected and subject to breakage. That explains their cheap price a bit. Other forks manufactured before or after the mentioned date should be fine. I'll continue to rid mine like I did the past 3 years. If it hasn't exploded on me yet they probably never will.

Having just found out I need a 1 inch fork rather than a 1 1/8, I'm looking for a threadless fork that'll be good for both road and Herne Hill. Needs to be drilled for a brake and I'd prefer carbon (and ideally straight). Can anyone suggest anything? The choice in 1 inch seems pretty limited.
Cheers
