Ed - I ran to work yesterday. Its 8.5km and took me about 50min - I'm no speedy gonzalez.
Now I've got 2 bikes I think I'll cycle to work on Fridays, leave bike at work over the weekend and run in on Monday mornings. This means I've still one bike at home for weekend rides, plus it will stop my cycling home pissed on a friday eve - something I do far too often of late.
Classes at my current gym are stupid times - like most don't start til 7pm. The spin classes are hard to get a place in (huge demand) and the pump classes are run by the biggest idiot in the world (she can't count to 4, let alone 8).
There is a tiny gym at work - new equipment, but bugger all of it. Its only £18/month though and I'd pay that - just for the use of the shower. I'm so bored at work, I really have nothing to do. I'm pretty sure I could duck out for 1-1.5 hours every day and get my exercise done on work time.... this would be very good! I think for me a lot of my problem is finding the time to exercise.
I will suss out ladies boxing at London Bridge tomorrow.
If all goes according to plan I will:
use the work gym on work time (£18/mth)
kickbox 1x a week (£40/mth)
swim 1x a week (£12.80/mth)
run to work 1x week (free)
go for long rides (free)
That is OVER £70/MONTH!
But I think it has to be done.....
I'm going to put off other classes (pump/spin) until the weather turns crap again... shan't be long.
