  • Thats a standard screw in barrel adjuster availible from your LBS for £5 a pair or something. So the ideal thing would be to get some needle nose pliers on it and remove it (without damaging threads).

    The alternative is to leave it be. the bit that acts like a cable stop will still work, and you can fine tune your indexing at the mech. Just not while riding (which is the whole point of DT/HT mounted ones).

    Those Ritchey ones are not threaded as they are meant to be fitted at the STI lever. If you have a knackered old mech lying around the adjuster on that should fit as a frame adjuster (could ask on here)
