the bike above looks '70s or '80s (check the date stamp on the hub shell), enfield stopped making their own cycles in the late 50s or very early 60s, i have a 1952 'Lightweight Sports' 3-speed ladies' model; i'm only the second owner and my dad remembers the original owners riding it to work in the 50s! The originals, though very chromed-up and good-looking, were very average bikes as build quality etc. is concerned (mine is made of such poor steel (it was just post-war) that the bars flex a good 6" compared to the seat tube..), the post-Redditch bikes (such as the one above) are usually better equipped and better to ride though not as pretty! keep it if it fits you!
