I though they were supposed to be ridden brakeless

I was just wondering if anyone had ridden something similar - think I wasn't too clear on what I was after. Just wondering how a wider rim feels...

saw sometting else about this last night that got me thinking even more...
http://www.schwalbetires.com/tech_info/rolling_resistance
wider volume tyres will have the better rolling resistance at the same pressure as narrower tyres , it gets very techy but i reckon you would feel a difference buy swapping to a wider rim as it will change the profile of your tyre and if your everyday riding involves a lot of skidding round corners - it's bound be a touch different?

I got some 23mm wide rims and the tyres fit way better than on 19mm rims.. I don't skid but i think it would work just as good, or better.
Ok - might get some fixie skidder stick for this but here goes: I'm looking to get some new rims and am considering the new TB14 from H+Son. I work with TiLover and he pointed out that with a wider 23mm (circular as opposed to eliptical) contact with the road, these might not skid round corners/get sideways so well. Anyone have any experience with something similar?
