  • Yes it does, the beatles track features in a pivotal moment in the kwerkey teenagers angst ridden lives
    ( It was lennon's rather than harrison's?)

Oh right, I have a record with it on somewhere and I saw Harrison credited so I had always thought it was one of the few of his beatles songs. Guess not.

  • charming

  • walked out of Archipelago last night too,
dosent happen often but this lot were so crushingly boring, and the filmmaking so dull,
I mean, how does 3 minutes of seeing someone get in bed show their feelings?,
just flat as a pancake. hey ho. still cant wait for Norweigan Wood...

I should have walked out of the "present" but I was too polite to walk out ... utter bollox.

  • you, too polite? shurely shome mistake?

  • Props on Adam West Batman. Fuckin love that film. "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!"

Also, am loving the reception in the media to Sucker Punch. So bad that there are rumours that Zack is going to be demoted from directing Superman.

  • saw battle: los angeles* last night

what a load of crap. more shakeycam than cloverfield and pretty much no plot other than OMG alienzz!!!11one!

rips off pretty much every war film cliche and mushes them together for the soldiers characters, backstory and dialogue.

    in all a terrible film.

*not the rip-off 'battle for los angeles' film which looks even worse than this one

  • Just found out today that Nolan is producing a reboot of his Batman reboot.. wtf?? Add to the new Spidey series - just a few years after the last series?

  • caught Source Code last night...mediocre imo

  • Just got back from wathcing a Polish movie - Sala Samobojcow(Hall of suicides)

Quite a dark movie about a teen who gets drawn into virtual online world as an escape from bullying about his sexuality. This online community feeds his depression and leads him to consider a suicide pact with a girl he met only through the internet.

I can't decide if I liked it as a film itself or simply because it is one of the first recent Polish movies I have seen that tries to tackle such dark subjects is in a very different style than most other Polish media I have seen.

I'm not sure if they are releasing it in the UK or not but if you can find a translation it is worth a look.

  • Do not watch RED, I repeat, do not watch RED.

I don't even know why I've watched it, boredom I guess.

  • haha RED was so bad it was ALMOST good for the laugh.

  • Was going to watch The Illusionist last night, but didn't, couldn't be arsed.

    8/10

  • Are you Baz Bamigboye by any chance?

  • Bamber Gascoigne?

  • Do not watch RED, I repeat, do not watch RED.

I don't even know why I've watched it, boredom I guess.

I liked RED very much. Good escapist fun. Unlike the dismally atrocious Expendables.

  • the Expendables was possibly one of the worst films i've seen. not even so bad its funny. just shit. i couldn't wait for it to finish

  • Sucker punch was lame. I like Zack Snyder and Larry Fong but this was just really lacking in story.

  • This weekend I watched Cheri with Michelle Pfeiffer (what a stunning woman) and Kiki's delivery service. Both very enjoyable.

Has it got fighting in it? Like ... Tony Jaa vs Jet Li? Looks like some eastern shit ... so I hope so. What martial art philosophy does it have in it .. is he fighting around the elephant to protect the king?
