  • Get there bout 8.15 but only stick around for a few unfortunatly, but firmly in for future nights!

  • im working late tomorrow.

  • ive missed polo quite a lot recently, but will always make it if im not working/have my girlfriend over. only see her the one time a week, so you bastards come second unfortunately. i was one of the few who made it out when the weather was terrible, if i might also add.

i am in for a meeting, as long as it doesnt conflict with any of the above mentioned. if given enough notice though, i will make efforts at swapping round shifts etc

  • i commit to 2 days a week and as many tourneys as i can, obviously the kid gets in the way a bit. I also commit as much of my spare time as possible lurking on this forum and thinking of chan tags
I miss polo in the rain

    hah

  • My comment about commitment wasn't a dis on anybody, we all have other things in our lives besides polo, more that if we decide that, for example, more people could commit to playing every other Tuesday or even one Tuesday a month we should organise ourselves around that, i'm sure people would prefer to have less Tuesdays with better games rather than more with not enough players to even field two whole teams

  • I know it wasn't a dis, good idea to know what everyone can do though, will help organise things better, I'm going to try and alternate sundays and tuesdays and do every thursday if possible

  • Just run a simple monthly calendar in advance.

The skeleton of regular polo is already in place, it just needs managing so we don't have spurts of activity followed by a drought. Similarly, people with other priorities (shifts/holidays/kids) can plan ahead and advise accordingly.

    For example:

    APRIL

Fri 1 No Polo Social 8.30pm Big Hands
Sat 2 Beginners Chorlton Park 10am
    Sun 3 Social PH 1.30pm

Thu 7 Team Polo PH 6.30pm
    Sat 9 Beginners/Easy Polo Chorlton Park 10am
    Sun 10 Social PH 1.30pm

Tue 12 Tournament Training PH 6.30pm
Thu 14 Team Polo PH 6.30pm

Sat 16 Euro Qualifiers London AWAY
    Sun 17 TBC

Thu 21 Team Polo 6.30pm PH
    Sat 23 Beginners/Easy Polo Chorlton Park 10am
Sun 24 Social Polo PH 1.30pm

Thu 28 Team Polo PH 6.30pm
    Sat 30 Woody's Royal Rumball 2 X 2 Tournament

Feel free to improve/amend this template to make a final version, which we can sticky once a month in advance.

  • Good idea Neil, im getting closer to having the website finished that will have a Calendar on it so hopefully will make it easier to keep track of upcoming events, i know its all taking forever but it really is getting there!

  • In... for the win Gin....!

  • I'm only in for one to two as well.

Hi people play on a mixture of Mountain bikes and single speed road/track bikes
the most important thing is to have the brake on your non mallet hand, so if your right handed have your brake on the left, and to have a low spinny gear. Most people are single speed rather than fixed too

keep an eye on this thread for when were playing or try and come down on Sunday afternoon, court is here http://tinyurl.com/3xpat9z from about 1.30 onwards

  • or speak to mrkawasaki about saturday morning beginners sessions
