Right now it's the best solution (and a 17t + 19t white industries freewheel is coming soon), I'll have a proper think about whether it's worth drilling a hole through the seat tube.
Dont drill a hole. I was being a twat. You'd need to go through the seatpost, which would feck up adjustability.
Have a cable stop brazed on the right* chainstay (as AndyP suggests), just next to the rack mount braze on. You will end up with an asymmetric canti cable bridge. But thats not an issue.
You will then have a nice clean looking canti set-up, that wont interfer with saddle bags, rack loads etc.
I'm not a fan of the Ganster as a road bike. It just seems a little overbuilt for my tastes. It would make a rocking CX style trail riding bike though. Tough and chuckable. This is really looking like potiental porn to me. So why are we discussing this here?
