Thanks Readview, I thought so too. It rides surprisingly smooth, true and fast considering its age. Just not quite right for what I want.
Morning drop £85.

This bike now sold to jamiejay. Nice to meet you and your pal! Glad it's gone to a good home.
Righto. Does anyone here fancy this old beast? SOLD
It's a Jeunet Captivante (non descript, steel frame).
ST 52 cc
TT 54 cc
It's a charming, shabby old thing which rides smoothly and shifts it's 10 gears with a Simplex Prestige mech (early sixties I believe??) Smooth transition it has to be said!
Sturdy guards front and back with racks.
700c chromed steel wheels with Panaracer TourGuard tyres (32).
Nice worn Ideale saddle atop a not very vintage Push seatpost.
This is an old beater, no two ways about it, but it rides well and would suit someone looking for that cruisy, vintage French city bike. The gears are fine but the drops are semi horizontal forward facing so a conversion could happen easy enough. Some clown has painted the front lug black which looks a bit kak (easily fixed), but the faded green paint looks quite nice. Obviously it has its fair share of surface scrapes and rust but no buckles or prangs.
I bought this off the Bay a while ago as a winter pub bike but I almost immediately started building something else so decided to off load it.
I paid one fifty for it and frankly I think I paid too much to be honest so I was thinking I'd take SOLD for it collected (Mile End).
donation to Forum included
Dibs then PMs please.
