i've never done the tweed run but wear tweed on a regular basis. it's really not hard to find decent second hand jackets.
rockit in cov garden, camden and brick lane,
radio days and what the butler wore on lower marsh,
and the CND shop on holloway road,
all have tons of tweed for around £30 a jacket. i have a couple and wear them all though spring and autumn.
