Unipack / Create / Sports Direct singlespeed track bikes?

Just a note on Create bikes - I bought one just over a year a go for £200 delivered. Annoyingly I didn't see all the posts about them here before buying - however..

I have ridden it really hard, in stock trim (apart from pedals), and just generally abused it for a year, and so far it has done me well. Sure, it's very heavy, the wheels flex under power but if you're just looking for a cheap run around and don't need to cover loads of distance they're not a HUGELY bad decision.

On the flip side, it's been a year now and my rear hub is starting to go! But, I'm not the average use case for this bike, I jump it, chuck it against lamposts, ride it in all weather and barely maintain it so it's not particularly surprising!

Just be aware they're not a quality device, but will serve many people's purpose if you're considering one!

Totally agree - bought one last year and have had no probs whatsoever - commute from N16 to Bond St 5 days a week and it hasnt let me down once. Perfect introduction for single speed riding for someone who was initially testing the water with not a lot of money to spend.
