I have a Biothermic one, which I got NOS, and have used on a couple rides. I seem to remember the bottle getting stained where it meets the cage. Not visible on the bike though. The bottle has a double wall filled with PU foam. This makes the bottle too stiff to squeese. So there is a straw that goes from an air inlet to the bottom of the bottle. To allow pressure to equalise when you pour water out. Still rubbish to drink from mind.
Despite being a bit rubbish practically speaking. It is a nice cycling item. But it looks huge on the small frame I ride. So I'll never use it. I'll have a look at it tonight, and decide if I want to part with it (and if so take pics).
Actually got it for free, as the guy who owned US shop I found it listed in, did'nt take european cards or paypal. Said he had Norwegian relatives (I'm based in Norway), I said could transfer money to them easily. But in the end he just posted it.
So it would be bad bike kharma to ask for much for it.
Anyway, I'll have a butchers tonight.
