WANTED: cycle friendly housemates ASAP

So, I'm homeless in a month, mastershredder is pissing off to America NOT JEALOUS AT ALL and if my current housemate glares at my bikes once more I'm going to D-lock him. JK. I'm looking for cycle friendly housemates who'd like to live in one of the two heaths aka Kings Heath or Balsall Heath. I'm veggie, don't have much stuff and am a fairly sociable kind of gal...house dinners/pub visits a few times a month would be nice but I don't expect us to live in each others pockets. If you know anyone, get in touch please. Otherwise I'm resigning myself to a studio! :(

I only took this house as a temporary three month thing as I thought I was going to do another long stint away this summer. Changed my mind so now looking for something more permanent! I loved living with Hash but I had to go to Galicia... Anyway, if you hear of anyone, let me know.

Would be awesome if we could have serious threads like this one without it turning into a mess, if I'd made this thread asking for people to live with and got replies like that I'd be a bit pissed to be honest, I know it's fgss and there's a minimum of rules but we are a bit of a community here aren't we? Help each other out, no? Maybe I'm just being idealistic but the only replies this thread really needed was 'yes I'm interested' or 'no sorry but I can vouch for MG being a good housemate/person'.
I know it's none of my business, MG can fight her own battles, this is just an observation on forum26 in general. I guess if and when I need to post a thread for accommodation or work etc I might make the first post and ask anyone interested to PM me and then lock the thread so I don't get replies that might put anyone off or trainwreck the thread.
Not opening this thread up for debate on these points, just trying to say that if you like MG and value her as a friend, which I know DB & DFP do, then post something positive about her maybe.

My current housemate is OK but if you have a cycling housemate it makes you feel less guilty about having two bikes in the living room (and three in the outhouse)

I used to know another bunch of ex bham uni folks who lived on oakfield road near the park, they all rode bikes. Dont know if they are still around.

Also, do you know Tess Burwood that does rhubarb radio? She also lives on oakfield road, and is the landlord of the house (actually belongs to her bro Dan I think). That might be a cool place to stay, as they are fairly bikey kind of people.

Yeah on a serious note Jess if had put this up about a week or two ago I would have been totally up for it, you always got a place to crash at mine though if you need it, I'll be in there from the 19th, so if you're stuck anytime give me a shout

just caught up with this thread. I, for one, can vouch for MotherGirl being a solid housemate. friendly, up for hanging out, clean, trustworthy, respectful housemate. she's legit. I would happily live with her again in the future.

Saw a nice house with four bedrooms on willows crescent yesterday (balsall heath on the cycle path), not sure how much it was going for though.
