So I've checked the exact question hasn't been asked before, and can find no sign, so...
On the lookout for a saddle for a new build, and previously I've always struggled with saddle fit, the physical pain of riding a bike with a saddle that doesn't fit is what usually ends my rides.
Currently ride on this...
wtb speed V (mtb)
and its aweful, and
Both I cannot stand, though I've always struggled to find something that fits.
Recently I picked up a beater project which has THE MOST COMFORTABLE SADDLE IN THE WORLD (for me) but the 'plastic' rails are cracked and TBH shouldn't really use it at all, but its so damn comfy. Looks like this...
*
Notice... arse dimples, short(ish), broad well padded nose, thigh ramps (right term?), slight concave shape, also from above it also looks a bit like a cartoon penis.
Looking at a more recent brooks, B17 and Swift are the models that sprung to mind, as I'm after something a little shorter than normal, and with those arse dimples, broad nose and ramps that THE MOST COMFORTABLE SADDLE IN THE WORLD has.
Or are there any other fairly 'period' looking (or actually old) saddles that you could recommend for a 70's racer, that I intend to ride more long distance rather than speed/lightweight.

Thank-you people of LFGSS!
