Just a heads up to polo people, I'm counting myself out of the Brighton tournament. Fin has registered interest for one team - if there's more people interested than that you need to get on it ASAP.

I'm sure it will be ace, but I'm saving up my work/missus good-will for the nationals and London Open - may try to fit in some other tournaments around those when they're announced.

I'd do a separate thread to be honest - it'll get mixed up here or on the events thread. You can see who's interested and talk logistical stuff with the people who are actually going to go.

Seeding still planned for the 10th - MG offered to be the stat-compiler, apart from that there's not really anything else to do... Maybe you can be the whip who makes sure everyone sends her their lists in time?

I have bad news everyone, this year's UK Champs at the Polodrome has been cancelled (there isn't enough time/space for us, the Velodrome is over-booked for the weekend we were after and there are no "free to use" dates available for 2011 via BC).

We will be holding the event next year and are in talks with BC about 2012 dates.

Right, emergency UK Champs organisation needed, Sheffield may step up and London are willing to help in any way they can, etc.

(London are thinking it'd be better to have the UK Champs somewhere else as we're holding the Euro Qualifiers.)

Conversed with the tube manipulator fellow and next time he has a job in 48mm OD then the bases of Birminghams goals get formed . It's the most common size we deal with, so should not take too long.
Even managed to arrange transport from work to my abode so I can fit the uprights and nets.
Have a reciept for said ally I'll bring to polo to show peeps.
