  • I just can't bear to see a camera not being used to it's full potential.

  • well he was showing off at how he can use it underwater... but nothing came of that either

  • Sorry to hear about the post ride drama and injuries.
Hope you get well soon BQ.

    Good ride prior to that.

  • Nice pics. I like this one a lot....so here it is again, in full repost glory. You got a couple of EPIC shots of my calves too.

  • Great ride even though I missed the Millenium Bridge trying to catch up with the group, and ran into a line of riot cops on the Strand in my efforts to find everyone.

Thanks to those who stopped to assist with Mrs Party_paul's explosive flat tyre just before Southwark Bridge as her dimwitted husband didn't realise what had happened until after the bridge. And thanks as always to Ma3k for the organising.

  • Great ride, just got home in from Pauls my knees hurt. Get well soon BQ!

  • Cheers for the ride last night, it was a great way to top off the protests. I'm looking forward to another one soon

  • Evening all.
So that was a fantastic bridges ride. I'd been out and decided instead of turning left and heading home I would turn right and chase the Bridges ride. caught up with you in Wandsworth and had a delightful ride out to Kew. I'm not really sure what happened on the way back, but my Brompton threw me off twice, once in a perfectly straight line. It could be a mechanical issue or maybe the little wheels caught a rut or pothole.
The extent of the damage is one broken clavicle and a lot of musclular pain. 6 weeks without riding :-(
Thanks to everyone who stayed with me, put coats on me and called the ambulance, and chapeau to Lynx who came to the hospital, looked after me and stayed there till morning and stuck me in a cab home. Service above and beyond the call of duty.

chapeau indeed. heal up BQ and may the 6 weeks fly by for you

  • ouch! heal up fast BQ!

great ride and amazing people all around.

    thanks to each and everyone!

  • Jesus BQ. I saw the first one and then dropped off left prior to your second tarmac confrontation. Heal sooner than the six quoted.

An epic ride last night. Good to see so many faces both old and new. Hilarious to see that people assumed we were protesters of some description. The stop in Putney was particularly notable for me as it was at least the second time that I'd been referred to as a "long-haired cunt" in a 24 hour period. Once by a bus driver and then again three hours later by a hatchet-faced inebriated trojan. Perhaps it was just an admission on her part - who knows?!

Thanks to John again for the organisation and execution of a truly hilarious evening. Stretches of brisk pace, followed by more relaxed rolling to allow the group to bunch up once again.

    So, when's the next one?

  • ...Hilarious to see that people assumed we were protesters of some description...

protesting and fundraising are the only two reasons groups of people do anything. you ignorant long haired cunt.

notes name down on the shit-list of 2011

  • remember guys......... Stop the shaft http://www.stoptheshaft.org/

  • ^genius!

  • putting it out there but i fucking hate the shaft.

  • I looked at the website and I'm still none the wiser as to why their slogan is 'stop the shaft'

And shouldn't the thing on the left side read 'greenfield not brownfield' instead of 'brownfield not greenfield'? Surely?

  • What's Richard Roundtree ever done to you?

  • similar issues in the east too: http://www.saveksg.com/
this is the playground just before the pub at the end of the Ride East

Scoot: the slogan means "Thames water should use brownfield not greenfield sites for mega sewer infrastructure works". but they thought they would make it a bit snappier... (and way ambiguous)

  • Ohhhh I see. I was disorientated by the haphazard use of font sizes, multiple fonts, occasional caps lock and that illegible lurid green colour.

    #typographynerd

  • hmm on the downside this bright green type is illegible on a white background, but on the upside it suggests eco-friendliness. s'all swings and roundabouts. or swingsANDroundABOUTS

  • Thanks for the ride, bailed at Putney as i was too close to home and decide to retire before the clocks changed.

Highlights for me were the circles at the Tate (Nice photos) and the tunnel at Albert Bridge

Thought the traffic in town wasnt as bad as previous night rides (I dont remember seeing any arsehole drivers in central london this time) maybe the march help keep the traffic down?

  • nice ride! and myrtle - i owes you cheap lager. good to meet you fellah.

and canadian dave - i have one thing to say to you... 'i'm saaaaaaaarry.'

and cap doffs to batheard for the power biskwit

  • was so much fun. hope Niall heals up soon.

This morning's commute was a bit painful in the legs.. anyone else have that? gaaah..still need to catch up on sleep...

  • Waa-waa-wee-wa! What a ride! Cheers John Ma3k for organising once again, sterling job!

I got back to Forest Hill in one piece, the South Circular is not a bad ride at that time of night, legs were caning all the way though and grinding up the back side of Forest Hill (at the other side of the hill to the Horniman Museum) was not fun, however going down the other side was, don't think my legs could have stopped my if they wanted to by that stage!

BQ - heal up mate, shit to read about this the next day. Hope your not in too much pain.

    Till next time!

    OSR out.
