I rode past Mona Road this morning and thought I'd give this thread a bump - we missed April, so how about a payday pint next Friday, the 13th?
-

yep, could be nice andy... on the radar, as Jonny would have it.

• #164
Has this been resolved? Anyone going along tomorrow?
-
• #165
Guess not... we've missed a couple since since the Peckham Payday Pint's Primary Protagonist suffered a bout of forumitis.
End of this month? Friday 27th May? I like that pub. Haven't been in a while, need an excuse...

Going to see stuart Lee do FOUR HOURS of continuous stand-up at the RFH. Might need a pre-theatre stiffener.

In his book he keeps pushing that he's more performance art than stand-up, and will continue to push the medium in that direction. It was a good read, the annotations to his last tours were insightful and interesting. Despite finding him less funny than I used to, his justifications for where he is and going are sound enough and I keep meaning to go see him but it's one of those things I never get around to.
(I'm in for a pint on Friday)

If it's performance art why are people still laughing? Half of it isn't even funny, it's little more than parody.

Andy Kaufman used to do this intentional dying thing, it seems very similar with Lee sometimes. Excruciating.
Poo. I'm in the shires this weekend.
