^ think 600 is Ultegra spec.

600 evolved into Ultegra, it was kind of the first midrange group. However, any single pivot brake of that era is going to leave something to be desired. Modern pads will help a bit.

Cheers guys. Any recommendations on a good mid range brake set-up but with a classic look??
