i'll pass the compliment onto the lopro, and thanks.
-
• #13
I didn't realise how much they were worth sorry, am sure it's a good price. Was hoping more for the 25-30 mark.
Looking at it now, not sure if it would be long enough anyway.
Thanks
-
• #14
ok no worries, you can snap up a normal (non fluted /non super) record post for that price, but they only come in one length as far as i know,
-
• #15
It was the fluting that caught my eye, would suit the Hetchins better than a plain round or aero one. Will have to have a measure up.
Might get back to you.

ok no worries, here is some info

if you like the look but need a longer one you can go hunting for an euklid post and then have it fluted...but that is one big mission...not the fluting, but finding one...

PM re Yates 725 .
The Following frames are surplus to my requirements:
You are welcome to view and pick up. I am based opposite haggerston station. I will also post at cost.
Now: I won't accept dibs anymore, as this hasn't worked too often. Therefore it is first come first serve. You can however send me a deposit via paypal and i will then hold the frame/part for you. If you want anything PLEASE POST IN THE THREAD AND THEN CONTACT ME VIA PM.
Mark Zaschke still races and works in ely city cycle centre, where this was built. The previous owner told me it was reynolds 653. It is very light has nice cutouts in the lugs and a Cinelli bottom bracket shell. There are a view scratches but nothing bad, no rust, dings or dents. Good straight frame. Would make a great project. nice wraparound fastback seatstays.
I suspect this has been used for timetrialing as the front forks are drilled and the forks have quite a bit of rake, no toe overlap.
The frame will be sold including a Campa headset, Mavic bottom bracket, seat binder bolt and a Track chain, which are all in good working condition. the decals are on top of the paint and will peel of if you are not happy with them
£325 incl wheelset SOLD
the wheelset on the lo pro is for sale too. the front is a suntour spuerbe hub on a mavic 330 in very good condition, runs super smooth and true comes with an extra tyre, the rear is a mavic gp4 on a miche low flange track hub, smooth and true, for pics see the link at the bottom of the post
53.5 ctc top tube, 52.5 ctc st (or 54 ctt) SOLD
(please note the rear tyre is 19mm oly and the front is 21mil, just to give you an idea of the clearances)
here is some info from the dy website: **http://www.daveyatescycles.co.uk/custom_bike_frames-Racing_Frames-25.php
**This frame would be £850 new. It has a few scratches but no rust, dings or dents. I suppose this was used for racing as there are name decals on the top tube. It has a nice cut out in the bb shell and nice aero forks. the frame comes with a shimano 600 headset in very good condition. for braze on front deraileur, fastback seatstays, columbus drop outs. the frame is very light.
£175
It comes with a campa chorus bottom bracket, stronglight superlight aheadset including 3t top cap.
£160 sold
more parts to follow later
