Anyone know much about Alien Bikes?

I know he shipped most of his frame sets to the USA, and considering you can pick up 'track frames' in supermarket style sport stores over there, I reckon it was his business management which let him down. Apparently before he'd even got the frames himself he'd taken the money off of customers and the lead time was massive as a result! I think there is definately a market for steel lugged track frame sets at a good price for sure!

It seems Alien Bike rebranded to Viking Cycles (http://vikingcycles.com/store.php).

I just ordered a Bertelli Small Raw, and will try the unpainted waxxed finish of Bertelli Performa Breakless.

I'll let you know what happens to me in the future. As for now, Frame has been ordered, paid by Paypal, and I received a tracking number info, number that works on the USPS site, and frame left already Chicago Airport. On its way to Belgium, Bruxelles. Let's see if the customs catch that one.

Paid 536USD for frame, generic BB and headset and shipping. Around 330£.

BTW, is there a place to ask and discuss a frameset building atempt such as this (first time for me)?
