I'm watching this hoping for an answer too. Bloody awkward things. I was going to try joining 2 Blackburn clamps together, one cut down to remove all the clip gubbins. Unfortunately this looks shit ugly. My next trick will be using the saddle mount from a wedge bag, I'll let you know how this goes and how many lights I lose in the process.
