I found the little fucker! It had velcroed itself onto the inside of my jacket, which I'd only put down for ten minutes so must've been wearing all the time you were looking for it.
In other news, I had to phone an ambulance on the way home last night after some very drunk old woman fell off the kerb near the Dartmouth Arms and faceplanted into the gutter, causing blood to come out of her face. I desperately looked round for someone to help, in the way that concerned citizens do, but soon realised it was gonna have to be me. The paramedic who turned up had apparently scraped her off the road only a few weeks previously. Kids these days eh.
It wasn't lost on me that it's about a year since I was on the receiving end of medical attention meself. Felt a bit weird on this occasion to be completely sober.
