Phil, it's not the flyover so much that scares non-confident cyclists; it's the whole motorway access highway environment here and the high volumes of motor traffic. The flyover is really only a small part of that. What it does make a very significant contribution to (like the Euston Underpass, etc.) is very poor urban design and a veritable bomb crater there.
