Scherrit recommended Speedplay - they seem to be the most customizable/ future proof option, plus the way the cleats are fitted makes it much easier to adjust fore/aft without messing with the angle - and visa versa.
I've not got the money to move from mtb to proper road shoes right now, but when I do - speedplay will get my money
