The last hour of my Saturday night has been spent reminiscing about polo from yesteryear (re-read pages 10-20ish). Seems like we had lots of trouble with rain, kepy trying/failing to get Sunday going, and moaned about locals more than now...

2 v 2 Tournament

How do people feel about the following?

• Sunday 10th April (weather dependent)
  
• 10am-2/3pm
  
• Random teams - drawn a few days before so people can sort out matching colour t-shirts.
  
• £2 each entry - winners take all
  
• Round robin format (everyone plays everyone once)
  
• Non-playing ref (volunteer?) who's willing to bone-up on the rules!
  Please don't derail the thread until we've had comments from at least a few people.

Yeah I'm happy with all of that. although beer and food wasn't mentioned?

I'm in. What do you think of instead of random consider highest seeded paired with lowest seeded, then 2nd highest with 2nd from the bottom, etc.

And i like Lucas' idea of spaced team pairing ...... fathom that out now and you might get a chance to practise with yer mate beforehand.

And DanThePA can seed the previously unseeded.

I'm not too fussed either way, but there are a few people who aren't seeded (Neil and Jess) and this might be a nice way to encourage a few more random people/blasts from the past to come and play.

D'oh - Pete done got in there and solved my problem! Random/reverse seeding to be decided on the day via show-of-hands?
