belated spot mention, jimbilly last saturday, me headed to diggers wheelbuilding course in east london, and not the velodrome, I managed to build one and a half of my tub wheelset.
furious tiles on friday as I headed west to see a friend along high st ken, good seeing you briefly on the big bike.
cake and frank today, on kennington road??? as I made a move on the travelling bike which feels heavy and slow in comparison to the track beastie I'd ridden briefly and out of breathlike in the morning at the velodrome.
plus all the major track faces at herne hill and the regent for libations afterwards, teenslain, brm, jenny j, senor bear, tika, adoubletap, spaghettihoops, etc etc..
great day for a ride today, great great day..

Guy on a grey kona fixed on Dalston lane last night, wearing a red nose. Thank you the wheel to follow and for pointing out the potholes sir! If you are on here, am I right in thinking you were the guy in the Rolla top that followed my wheel down to the Bow Road the other morning?
Hi Woodie
Yes on both occasions, Would have been Wednesday in the Rolla gear as my commute Jacket was in the wash after TNRC.Nice frame by the way, I would have hated those deep aero forks to get smashed up for want of politeness.

^ nice one dan. i understand your forum name i think - that mercian is very nice indeed. i will assume your geared bike is blue also
-
• #34935
ha, yes it is, admittedly I wish I'd given it more thought before hand but ho hum. Yep the geared and moutain bike (whisper it) are also blue, I do have a genesis flyer thats white but i'm hoping if I never wash it it will become blue eventually, after two and a bit years it's now definitely a shade of grey so a while to go yet on that one.
Glad you like the Mercian, it only gets out in nice weather and Mercian paintjobs in the sun give a true spangly disco effect thats amazing, luckily today is one of those days and I'm hoping there's many more to come, roll on summer. -

I overtook, and then was promptly re-overtaken by a roadie on Clerkenwell Road around 8:30 - white geared Condor (?) bike, black Rapha kit. He must have been at the start of a long ride as his jersey pockets were stuffed with bananas. Very jealous as I was on my way in to a full day's work.
Sounds very much like braker on his way to scoping out the 100 Club ride to Bristol - Canyon not Condor?
-
• #34937
was probably braker, he loves his bananas.

Nice frame by the way, I would have hated those deep aero forks to get smashed up for want of politeness.
Cheers - it's one of Varno's and possibly not the most practical daily ride but is lovely!

About 5 or 6 chaps on ss urban street weapons waiting at the lights (!) outside Holborn station at around 15:30 this afternoon. I was a walkenger and did not enquire as to the feasibility of their DASing as I was too knackered to speak after spending 5 and a half hours wandering around the British Museum. You're all practically guaranteed to be on here, so hello, whoever you were!

That would almost certainly be Skully, who I happened to roll homewards with on friday night. We went our separate ways however...
He was on the gears. I thought "Who's this nodder?" Whereupon said nodder calls out my name, only for it to be good ol' Skully. Good to roll with you dude!

To the bald guy on the corner of Theobalds and Clerkenwell with fixed and bottle in bottle cage, just chillin' at 2:30. Saw you pull an awesome slow skid on the pavement before. I was the guy on the Green Machine crossing the road track standing. We swap nods. Not sure if youre a hardcore curryier or if youre on here. Wazzup!
