100 miles from farnborough to bath with braker. Good day in the saddle. On train home now, full report to follow...
As promised:
We had a it of a false start, firstly with braker thinking we had missed a turn and having to double back a few times. And secondly (massive fail on my part) me ploughing into the back of Dumps, resulting in bent handle bars for me, and a buckled wheen for Dumps. Braker headed for a bike shop we passed to see if he could pick up a new wheel whilst we set about trying to put right what we could with the tols we had. Braker returns having been sold a 650B front wheel with a "700C" tag on it...
So unfortunately Dumps decided to call it a day, eaving braker and I to carry on.
The rest of the ride was pretty uneventful, nice quiet roads, sun shining all day, plenty of other riders about, very little traffic. Just spinning along at a comfortable pace.
The plan was to go to Bristol but we made the call to stop at a pub by the canal just on the outskirts of Bath. So in all we'd done 94 miles just over 6 hours moving time with 4 or 5 stops for puncture/pee/food.
Here is the route (ignore the bit that goes past Bath to Bristol):

This morning I went out with Oxonian CC again. Pretty standard Sunday morning club run but a little shorter than normal. I tracked our route using my phone so no need to look at the map and get confused this afternoon!
Thankfully the pace was relaxed so 2h50m moving time, plus a stop at a cafe that had very good cake!
