I’m a friendly, easy going person and totally unproblematic as a flatmate. I’m clean, tidy and solvent, respectful of privacy and the need to sleep! I want to live with similar. I would expect to get on with the flatmate, good company to chill out or chow down with. But I don’t need a new best friend. We can hang out as much or as little as it goes, so long as you’re basically likeable and liberal minded. It’ll be the kind of place you can have friends round and partners stay over without asking, but definitely not a party flat.
I like bikes, books, food, pubs, sport, travel, maths, all the usual stuff. I’ve only lived in Ldn for 9 weeks now, but I’m a regular at Wests beers (and occasionally Souths), Newington polo, forum cricket practice and I’m on the list for a few upcoming rides. So I’m a fairly easy person to meet! I’ve stuck this on the forum b/c I’ve had good experiences with the forum. But by all means recommend this to any really sound, lovely friends who don’t cycle.
I don’t live there at present. The landlord is a friend of mine, and the current tenants are friends of hers too. I don’t really know them, altough one is the girlfriend of a mate. So I can arrange visits and find out answers to any questions easily enough. The landlord is a diamond lass and organised, responsible. And she’d rather have me there than use a letting agent to find strangers b/c of trusting me and lack of hassle/expense associated with agents. She’s said that anyone I’m happy to live with is cool with her :)

EDIT - THIS IS GONE
Looking for a flatmate from 1 May, for a nice, spacious, modern 2 bedroom flat in Elephant/Walworth area, SE17 on a side road near Walworth Road. Rent is £700 pcm + bills. I can see myself being there long term, it’s a good location for me, it’s a smart place and good size for a 2 bedroom. Depending on circumstances, I might be there til I want to buy a place.
Room is a good size double with ensuite (shower and toilet). Flat is furnished with decent stuff. There’s a large open plan kitchen/living room with a dining area. There’s a rooftop terrace, good for hospitality when it’s warm out. There’s space in the hall and living room for bikes, and in bedroom depending on how much stuff you have, but no spare room for bikes so prolly no good if you have 6 bikes that all have to live indoors! There is a secure bike shed for the building that would be fine for pub beaters/polo bikes. Building is a small, friendly, gated complex populated by professional types. There is a car park for the building but I don’t know what the deal is with permits and prices.
Nearest stations are Elephant (overgound, Bakerloo and Northern line Bank branch) and Kennington (Northern line both branches). I have no idea about buses but the flat is very close to Walworth Road A215 which definitely has plenty buses. In the other direction but a bit further is OKR which again must be well served by buses. It’s on shitloads of pedestrain routes.
