Summer in the 'ham

The sun is shining and I'm in a goooooooooood mood.

Can I just say the bham fixed gear/bike community (avoiding the word 'scene') is really good right now. I think its growing, all the peeps I've met have been sound and I for one am stoked on summer being round the corner.

Heres to a summer of sunshine and riding!

You're all welcome to windsurfing barbecues at the reservoir too, maybe make a ride out of it. I think it would calssify as an 'other ride'.

I live at the reservoir, not like a rat in the weeds but in a house. In the summer when it hasn't rained for a few weeks the sand shows in one spot and there's a beach, but don't tell anyone, it's a secret beach.

oh come onnnn! My mudguards have been off for a few weeks and I had the shorts out the other day, granted I still had a few layers up top.

I didn't have mudguards on at all this winter. Just wore brown shorts, problem solved.

Of course. I'm sure you could borrow some of our kit for a couple of sessions. Surfing would definitely help.

So jealous. I love 'the beach' and its many Tennant's Super cans. It's in the corner that we like to call the 'freestyle pocket'.

Lovely - when summer comes and the scum congregate, it'll make a nice contrast between the pretty trees, flowers and landscaping and the crisp packets, plastic bottles and fag ends.
