Ok. We had a boozey meeting last night and decided that even though 7th May is only six weeks away, we're gonna go for it.
We also agreed that the Brighton tourney would act as the first of the UK national series!
The format will be in line with the UK National set-up of Swiss rounds with all teams playing at least 4 games. We will be using two courts and it will be a one day tourney.
We have a limited amount of floorspace and priority goes to teams from further afield. Please state your claim on bedpsace ASAP and we will see what we can do.
We will also be holding an informal 'tournament within a tournament' with first, second and third prizes for teams outside of London.
This will have to be a quick turn around and we need all the support we can get to make sure it all comes off smoothly in the limited time.
Also - how do I change the title of this thread, I want it to read Brighton summer tournament - 7.05.2011
