I'd go with a new set of spokes, annoying as it is when you have a box sitting around at home. You don't want to end up in the position where you lace up the wheel and then get it almost true only to find out that you can't go any further due to the spokes being at the end of the nipple threading as MDCC tester said.
EDIT - I actually did exactly this when i built my first ever wheel and ended up having to un-lace (if thats a word) and rebuild adding an extra few hours into the mix :-(
