I was at Mitch for solo polo last Friday and got some pretty heated reception from the kids playing footie. Kids, yes, but with about 6 of them on the courts I did get a little bit intimidated. I rode down the ramps, placed my bag down and one of the kid picked up a cone and waved it at me from afar, telling me to leave. However, I spoke to one of the older kids which was a little more reasonable, he said that on Thursday when they asked to be use the court they were declined (one sided story, might be BS) hence when they saw me they thought there will be more players arriving and taking the court.
Maybe it is time to speak to the council or those running the courts to find a schedule where footie and polo could co-exist in harmony for better of all. I will put myself up to assist with negotiations with the council/management/whoever. Planning to move up North soon so yeah, Mitch would be my home court soon, so hopefully this will be the first step.
