As promised, though better late than never, I've finally added an Alarm Padlocks sub-section to the list (page 1 of this thread).
The Karbrus is the original, and arguably, the best.
But there are also many cheaper priced copies, and of these, the Maplins' version seems very good. At only a tenner, its a cheap purchase that would suit anyone living in a shared property, especially if your bike has to live in the communal hallway.
I also found that Kabrus have an alarmed U-Lock, the XL303, which posseses a 17mm bar. At £45, its £20-£25 cheaper than the 18mm Xena XUL locks.
