Did not realise that there's cyclocross-specific v-brake out there (make sense though), I didn't went for v-brake originally due to the difference in cable pull (road = less etc.) with road lever*.
Am I right in saying that the modulation of a cantis is better than a v-brake? the shorty seemed to tick all the boxes and I can able to set them up nicely, according to C+ review, the TRP is a bit spongy, but ultimately offer more power than the avid.
*I realise that there are v-brake specific road levers out there, but I didn't find them comfortable.
