I have that exact bag, loved it.
The forward facing flap is useful while on the move as the wind doesn't push the flap back in it's place if it were the other way round.
The pocket on the back (the two pocket between the stem/headtube) is useful for keeping stuff like your mp3 player, small snack and the like, what you need left is a decaleurs to keep the bag stable on the front.
