  • Very sad news

    Their chainrings are awesome.

  • kin typical,
just bought a set to replace winter transmission on MTB,
now they gonna be cheap as chips in a few weeks.
    fml

  • Shit. I love their stuff.

  • how the fuck
    ???????

seriously, how have they gone under? they have OE components on just about every US bike there is and tonnes of euro stuff, and they pretty much 'have' the MTB high end market for bits & pieces. what they hell went wrong, or am I missing some buy out & asset strip that went down a few months ago.

  • What on Earth? what happen? does the recession have anything to play with this?

  • basically from what i heard their owner told a few porkies to the banks stating that they were in a better position in terms of inventory etc, whilst paying himself a 30k salary. how much of that is true, i don't know

  • I love XO seatposts. Sad to see em go under

  • 30k? Not exactly Bob Diamond then.

  • $30k Canadian as well. That'd barely get you an hour with a high class midget in London's Famous London.

  • http://dirt.mpora.com/news/raceface-close.html#comment-66621 this is where i found it, about as trustworthy as a politician so take it with a pinch of salt.

  • Thats $30k/month btw.

    According to your source.

Cause I thought you meant $30k/annum which is probably quite bad even for production line at RaceFace.

  • Now thats a little different. 30kp/a was flash enough for me

  • 30,000 canadian a year is what most till boys (hard working 6day a week style) will earn, per month is a different storey.

For some reason I always had it in my head raceface were a much bigger outfit? I had them on a similar quality line to Hope Ltd (lancashire) but larger, and also doing lower end OE stuff to make ends meet. But from what I've read on the interwebs about them going under it sounds like they are actually smaller than Hope Ltd, smaller than BETD ltd even, probably not quite as small as Brent/On-One but not far from it. Got to admit, as a small business (what I'm running up here in the northern wastelands) you spend a fair bit of your marketing time disguising the size of your own business, and its hard! raceface obviously have done a great job disguising the size of theirs, even to the tax/bank man unfortunately.
